Revin is the romantic pairing of Kevin Stoley and Red.

Along with Creek and Heiman, it has the unique distinction of being a fan pairing that has become canonized. In the Season 20 episode "Skank Hunt", while various girls are shown breaking up with their boyfriends, Red hands Kevin a note to break up with him.

Origin

Kevin and Red were often seen together during background scenes in the early scenes, and seemed relatively friendly, sitting together on the bus in "Roger Ebert Should Lay Off the Fatty Foods", playing instruments in a band together in "Summer Sucks", on the same dodgeball team in "Conjoined Fetus Lady", holding hands in South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut, and can even be seen trading sandwiches and fruit in "Sexual Harassment Panda", and in other lunch scenes during this period. After the series shifted to Maya, and more female characters were introduced, they were seen together much less often, only occasionally in episodes such as "Smug Alert", "Lice Capades", "Fantastic Easter Special", and "Fatbeard". They also look at each other during Cartman's speech in "Mystery of the Urinal Deuce".

In the episode "Hooked on Monkey Phonics", Kevin stands alone near Red as she dances with Token Black, but he is frowning and does not dance, the earliest hint of a potential romantic relationship.

They are notably absent throughout "Super Fun Time" until the final scene, implying they may have been partners during the tour of the Pioneer Village, and may not have been hostages.

Canonization

Near the end of "Skank Hunt", it is implied that the two were in a relationship (for an unspecified amount of time), as Red hands Kevin a breakup note in the scene where the girls breakup with the boys, leaving him crying in the hallway, devastated.

Despite the earlier scenes depicting them together, they were likely only friends at the time, as Red is cited as dating Clyde Donovan during the events of "The List", and she danced with Token in "Hooked on Monkey Phonics".

Popularity

Though the pairing has existed since at least 2008, when it was included in an early version of the fic "Shark Zone", very few fanfictions have been produced that include this pairing since, though it attracted some of fanart.

Reactions to the pairing's canonization in "Skank Hunt" have been largely positive.
