Gerald on the SP-site

Gerald wears a magenta yarmulke, a khaki jacket with a blue shirt underneath, and forest green trousers. He has brown hair with sideburns and a full beard trimmed into a point at the chin and shaved alongside the lips so that his mustache does not connect.

Gerald seems to be the most caring and rational of all the male parents in South Park. He is concerned with Kyle learning about moral values, and about the environment and current events. He is typically portrayed to be kind and friendly, though he can be stubborn, sarcastic and impolite at times. The twentieth season suffered from exploring is misogyny and hatred of women.

Gerald Broflovski suffers from impotence. Though it's implied that he is simply no longer attracted to Sheila it may be the reason why Ike is an adoptee.

Fanon and Fandom

Prior to the show's twentieth season, Gerald was often considered one of the better fathers in South Park as he was not depicted as treating Kyle as carelessly as has been seen directly with Randy Marsh and Stephen Stotch and is sometimes implied with Stuart McCormick and other fathers. Though he did have occasional moments of responsibility - such as "Chicken Pox", "Sexual Harassment Panda" and "Major Boobage" - he was still generally viewed as a level-headed character.

During the tweetieth season, the Skankhunt42 story arc revealed that Gerald bullied people online, driving some to suicide, exhibiting a deep-seated misogyny and describing it as so inappropriate that it becomes humorous, and as his identity is threatened to be exposed to others, he begins to mistreat his son and family, referring to Kyle as a "little pussy" and urging him to hide the truth about his behavior from his wife to preserve the marriage. Since then, Gerald has generally been treated as one of the worst parents and husbands in town though he is inversely often considered a 'funnier' character than previously.
