Betrayal[]

Kyle was originally part of the Coon And Friends franchise from the start, but as Vanguard. In the beginning of the arc,, Kyle was a part of Coon and Friends. In TFBW, Kyle, as Alex Gunther, joins the Freedom Pals. Eventually, when Coon "came back from the future", Kyle Russo left the Freedom Pals, after a fight with Doctor Timothy, and he betrayed them. He was pretending to be a part of Coon and Friends until after the mission, Alternate Universes Collide Again. The next mission, Ink In The Water, New Kid, after having listened to an audio recording of Kyle Russo talking to Alex Gunther (Kyle talking to himself to remove suspicion of Alex Gunther being the same as Kyle Russo, if someone were to identify Kyle (Not Alex) as a spy), New Kid is sent to investigate Kyle Russo's room. When New Kid enter's Kyle's room, New Kid finds a journal with "Alex's" notes in Kyle's room. New Kid finds out Kyle's fight with Doctor Timothy never existed, and Kyle was a spy, and was leaking information left and right to Freedom Pals, just then, Alex Gunther appears and fights New Kid. Once Alex Gunther's health reaches 0, and the fight ends, Alex climbs out the window and says to New Kid, "This isn't over New Kid, not yet." . After Alex escapes, New Kid gets a call from Cartman saying, "Damnit, he's gone just like that. Should've known he was a spy. Next time you see him, finish the job." Kyle then calls Cartman, and the player will hear the following dialogue:

Kyle: "Alright, I'm saying this once and only once so you'd better listen."

Cartman: "You don't have that high of an authoritah you trai-"

Kyle "*interrupting* SAME HOUSE, SAME ROOM! And New Kid, be there, you know why."

Cartman: "As I was say-"

Kyle "*hangs up*"

Cartman: "Damnit! Fuck that kid!"

Pre-Superheroes[]

"Death"[]

Kyle's Body

At the end of The Fractured But Whole, Kyle Russo fakes his death to remove any suspicion of Alex being Kyle Russo, and to swap to another superhero, after the last mission, New Kid gets a side mission, which is to investigate the sewers after Alex calls for backup, when New Kid goes underground, New Kid finds Alex's body, and the rest of the group hears, believing Alex is dead (NOTE: Kyle didn't use someone else's body, he's not that crazy, he used his own and acted).

After New Kid leaves the sewers, a cutscene plays with New Kid returning back to the Freedom Pals base, and while he's walking, a hooded figure with a navy blue hoodie is watching New Kid, and when he turns around and walks away, it is revealed to be Kyle "Vanguard" Russo. New Kid returns back to base, with the Freedom Pals. The whole group is a bit upset about, "Losing on of their top dogs", and puts a dent in the plans for each release of the movies/shows the group was planning to put on Netflix. Just then, when they group is wondering about what changes to make for the franchise, Kyle Russo as "Vanguard" (Who was able to get in the base unnoticed) volunteers to substitute in. When the group starts asking questions like, "Where the hell you've been.", Kyle says it's not important and says, "These cops took oaths to protect our city, but they've betrayed that, they are paid off, they are set on arresting black people to feed their huge Star Wars shitpile they call Niggurath. So that's where I come in. I stop these crimes, and put them down for good when I have to, not kill, but cripple them. You should've been doing the same. But you can't. You have pity. You want to give them another chance after prison. These are ways of saying your conscience is fucking you. Ask yourself, who has earned a right to tell you how to handle it? I gotta go get some shit done, for now. I'll be seeing you all soon."

After the mission and in each D.L.C., Kyle can be played as "Vanguard". The player can still bring Alex Gunther into combat. If the player has him as an ally, at the start of combat, New Kid will immediately fart Alex into combat (Without using a turn). Additionally, since Alex is Vanguard from the past, Vanguard can still be an ally if Alex Gunther is also an ally.

Vanguard is heavily based off of Aaron Keener from Tom Clancy's The Division (Very specific to the Aaron Keener from Tom Clancy's The Division 2's D.L.C., Warlords Of New York, but not entirely), and even has the Eclipse Virus that Aaron Keener forced Vitaly Tchernenko to make (Although it's not a virus, but a tear gas).
